We went for a shopping outing yesterday at 1 Utama to shop for new clothes and food for the coming Chinese New Year. There were quite a number of people at the shopping complex and as there was a lion dance performance, the number of people grew larger as time passed by. The decoration for the festive season is as usual amazing.
We dropped by a number of shops to get new clothes including traditional Chinese New Year's shirt for my mum. Most of the stocks came from China. Time has been getting on pretty fast and it was time for lunch. We decided to have it at Delicious, which has an outlet at Bangsar Vilage 2 as well.
As we were told that the portions at Delicious are always big, we ordered only a few food & beverages to share. One of it is English Fish & Chips. It looks really like the traditional fish & chips back in England and came with home-made tartar sauce.
English Fish & Chips:
We also ordered Fried Calamari (which also came with tartar sauce), Hot Mocha and Frosty Lychee & Lemongrass. The Fried Calamari is very deep fried but doesn't seem to be oily. Its very tasty especially when it is eaten hot.

We were so full that we waited for quite a while to leave the restaurant. After lunch, we continued our shopping to the old wing of 1U, browsing for more stuffs in Jaya Jusco including getting a hamper for my family from Eu Yan Sang. We looked at many stores including KeyNg's store to get a new dress for myself. However, there were 'limited' choices. So, we went from 1U to The Curve in the evening.

Dragon - I @ The Curve
At The Curve, we also couldn't find any dress that fits my criteria. It was rather a disappointment but it should be ok as I can always try to look at KLCC for more choices. :) Since it was already evening and started to rain heavily, we had our dinner in Dragon-I as I wanted to have rice for dinner. Its a tradition that customers will be served with titbits before having the meals.
Titbits:
We ordered:
Sweet & Sour porks:
Fish Fillets with Vegetables and Oyster Sauce:
Steam pork with rice:
Siew Long Pau:
The Sweet & Sour pork has a very strong smell. If it is just eaten without rice, it is rather salty. Therefore, it should be eaten with white rice, then only the real taste comes out. As for the Siew Long Pau, it is one of the restaurant's popular dish and it tastes just ok. The Steam pork with rice is a bit unique with few slices of vegetables. Before it is cooked, the pork is marinated and after it is cooked, it is very tender with good rice mixture to produce the best taste.
