Sri Karak Restaurant @ Section 52, PJ

Yesterday, when we were back from my cousin's wedding, both of us were thinking where to have lunch before heading back home. Finally, we went to one of the restaurant which was introduced by "Ho ChaK" probably one or two weeks ago - Sri Karak Restaurant.



There was a strong smell of durian when we first stepped into this restaurant...haha.. That's what Sri Karak is all about - DURIAN. We want to try its famous pastry, which is Durian Bomb. It consists of creamy durian mixed with sweet potato and then deep-fried until it is crispy but meltingly soft inside. If you are a durian lover, then we are sure you will definitely like it. Somehow, my dear said it was smelly but he still finished it (have to finished it).. haha :-p



Besides Durian Bomb, Sri Karak also provides other famous dishes and pastries such as durian ABC and durian pancake. The durian ABC is served together with gula Melaka and a scoop of fresh durian ice-cream on top of it. When we mixed them, it taste like durian flavor cendol.



As for durian pancake, it is filled with fresh whipped cream and a chunk of durian. The taste was not too bad but I guess we need to do a lot of exercises after having it as it is too creamy for us.



On top of those popular pastries, we also ordered seafood noodles, "yao choi" with oyster sause and "ma po tauhu". The food are quite nice and the price are reasonable too. With all the food we had, it was just under RM50.
